The 100

Overview:
ChoiceShirts knows that we’re not the first people to want to build a “shirt designer community”. That’s why we’re turning to you, the design community, to find out what you want done differently. You’re not just a part of the community, you’re helping shape it!

In an effort to move ChoiceShirts forward, we are excited to open up our existing channels of production, marketing, and promotion to an exclusive pool of 100 of the best graphic designers we can find. This group will be able to execute as a group and be rewarded as a group, for producing quality designs and helping provide feedback on how ChoiceShirts can grow for the next generation of t-shirt designers and buyers.

The specific goals of The Choice100:

  • Provide a unique opportunity for artists who don’t want to be diluted by an overabundance of competing artists. The Choice100 is about working together!
  • Grow a network of built-in artists who have incentives to work together and feel a sense of ownership in ChoiceShirts/The Choice100.
  • Provide monetary incentives and promotional opportunities to artists actively participating in the Choice100 network.
  • Utilize social media tools like this blog, our Twitter account, Facebook to actively seek out and build a network of 100 graphic artists

Timeline:
We are currently organizing local brainstorming sessions to flesh out our model further and are looking to launch this as early as possibly in 2008. In addition to our Choice100 artists contributing and promoting designs, we are also exploring possibilities for this pool of artists to contribute to graphical areas of our website such as updating the masthead graphics on each of our department pages and receive recognition for this. The opportunities for ongoing ties between individual graphic designers’ brands and our own brand are really exciting, and we are very excited to look at this like a co-op t-shirt site where all the designers will be working together, with us, toward common goals.
