Brainstorming Success!

Last night’s brainstorming session went very, very well. Over the course of 2 and a half hours, the group was led through a series of exercises that encouraged free thinking, rapid thinking, and wild, exciting ideas. Various topics of ideas were arranged, from a list of markets and design-styles that we thought might be untapped, to designer recruitment venues and opportunities, to various kinds of ways for shirt designers to collaborate in fun, innovative new ways. One of the most exciting realizations for me was the idea of how this model is a whole new spin on competition: instead of competing AGAINST one another, designers are being encouraged to compete WITH one another. That healthy, positive competition really lends to the “succeed as a group, reward as a group” mentality of the Choice100.

We’ve got a LOT of info to sort through, 9 20″x30″ poster sheets!

So over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be posting some of it and asking some more questions!

Thanks a ton to everyone that came out and got energized. We’ll be doing this again, and hope to see even more people next time!
